“Earth Hour 2015” and the Earth “Dress Black Day” – Event held successfully

“Earth Hour” was introduced by World Wild Fund to
encourage governmental organizations, business corporations and citizens
worldwide to switch off lights for an hour usually on the last Saturday in March every year to
cope with the issue of climate change. Last year, over 3,900 companies and
buildings, all universities, over 320 schools and million of people in Hong
Kong switched off their lights and pledged to live a greener lifestyle.
Cinda International values environmental conservation
seriously and continue to participate
the event this year. We have switched off the lights in the office during 8:30 –
9:30 p.m. on Saturday, 28
March 2015 and encouraged our staff to support this meaningful event by
switching off the lights at home during the specified time and called on its
staff to conserve the resources and to give something up from four ways “Clothing,
Food, Housing & Transportation” to reduce their ecological footprint in
daily life.
Moreover, to encourage the staff’s participation for “Earth
Hour”, Cinda International organized an Earth “Dress Black Day” on 27 March 2015 (the day before Earth Hour)
and encouraged its staff to dress in black or dark colours. This event was
greatly supported by the management and staff. Everyone demonstrated the spirit
of environmental protection and the participants showed unity of strength within
the Company. Under a cheerful atmosphere, a group photo was taken to
commemorate this event.
To put forward the environment conservation, Cinda
International would take various measures to reduce energy consumption and
emission of carbon dioxide in order to be a responsible corporation.
